High Achieving and Gifted.

 

Patrick Henry STEM Magnet challenges students with a strong academic program that encourages students to solve problems using new perspectives. Instruction is delivered at, or above, grade level with honors classes offered in grades 6, 7, and 8 for gifted and/or high achieving students. The program fosters and expects high standards in academics, study habits, behavior, dress code, respect, citizenship, and homework.

 

MAGNET PROFILE

•  LAUSD High Achieving Magnet Award 2014, 2015 and 2018.

•  2/3 of our students are high achieving or gifted and supported with a GATE Program.

•  Competitive Vex Robotics Program.

•  State of the art computer labs & Chromebook cart in each classroom.

•  Technology electives including video production, animation, STEM iDesign, and 3D engineering.

•  Project Lead the Way Magnet with electives: App Inventors, Design & Modeling, Medical Detectives and, CS for Innovators and Makers
